Buying the right guitar

There are 3 types of guitars:
1) nylon string acoustic,
2) steel  string acoustic
3) electric guitar.

In addition these guitars are available in 3 sizes: full size, ¾ size and  ½  size. The proper size of guitar you should purchase should be  determined by your child’s age and body size. Buying an instrument  that is too big or too small will make it much harder to learn on!

If you are going to purchase an acoustic instrument, keep in mind that  nylon string guitars are much easier to learn on than the steel string  ones. This is due to the fact that you need to apply much more  pressure on steel strings in order to create tone which can be a painful  experience for the beginner. Finally, electric guitars are the easiest to  learn on granted  the student has no desire in playing classical style.

If you haven’t already bought an instrument we will be happy to assist  you in  making the best purchase for your child within your budget...
